80% of Gaza Strip Lives Off of Food Aid
"Without It They're Liable to Starve" says WFP
March 3. Conditions in the Gaza Strip have become so bad that a staggering 80% of the population now relies on food aid, This is the analysis in the Israeli paper Haaretz. It quotes a spokesperson from the World Food Program as saying "without it they are liable to starve" Refugees get food aid from UNRWA. Others desperate Palestinians get help from the World Food Program (WFP).
The WFP offers only flour, salt, cooking oil, chickpeas and tehina. One family reported that the parents diet is hummous and pita every morning, noon and night. The children would be given some chicken or meat once a week.
This malnutrition is entirely man-made. The Israelis have cut off all trade with Gaza and have banned Gazans from working in Israel. They and the U.S. have pressured European countries to cut off humanitarian aid.
The despicable members of Congress continue to line up to kiss the butt of the Israeli-Apartheid lobby. Friday Barak Obama knelt down before AIPAC with a fawning tribute to the imagined Israeli "ally" and "democracy".

Farce: AIPAC Now Says the Middle East Jews who Came To Israel were All Refugees
For fifty years we were told of the wonderful ingathering of exiles, of Jews who flocked to Israel to live out the dream of creating a Jewish state. In the novel Exodus the Middle East Jews are led to believe that eagles are bringing them home. That was then. Now AIPAC, the Israeli Apartheid lobby, thinks it can help destroy any negotiations over Palestinian refugee rights by claiming all the Jews who did aliyah were in reality refugees thrown out of Arab countries.
